About Me

Hello, my name is Jamie and i have been a London Taxi Driver (Black Cab) since May 1991 after completing the World famous Knowledge of London test

April 1999 I passed the Worshipful Company of Hackney Carriage Drivers Taxi Tour Guide Course and since then London and it’s history have become a real passion of mine and I have embarked on a quest to learn as much as I can about my City.

I have been a Member of the Worshipful Company of Hackney Carriage Drivers since 2000 and a Freeman of he Comapny since 2006.

I also gained the Freedom of the City of London in 2007 of which I am extremely proud.

  We booked Jamie via Viator. The high ratings did not lie! Jamie was a great driver but even better was his pleasant and open personality, flexibility, and knowledge of London. He’s not only a true Cockney, he’s a person who loves his city and it comes through. We had a thoroughly enjoyable 5 hours with Jamie. I highly highly recommend!

  Thoroughly enjoyable Christmas Lights tour with Jamie. He was very responsive through the booking process and arranged a convenient place to meet. The cab was festively decorated which added to the atmosphere. He took us to lots of different places with plenty of stopping and photo opportunities. Great commentary and interesting insights and he definitely knew all the best places to see. Would highly recommend as a festive evening out.

  We did the Christmas lights tour. Jamie was a delightful guide and driver. The taxi was even decked out in holiday cheer. Jamie (who has a fun and endearing personality) has an intimate knowledge of the city & its history as he has over 30 years of experience as a driver. We were blown away by his knowledge of the streets and its contents and even some secret surprises. What we assumed would just be an evening spent looking at the beautiful Christmas lights ended up also being an educational experience of London’s rich history. We were encouraged to get out, snap pictures and enjoy the sights from outside the taxi as well. Jamie even took a picture for us so we didn’t have to fumble around taking a selfie.   We took my autistic son on the magical Christmas lights tour & he absolutely loved it ! The cab was decorated with tinsel & fairy lights & was playing Christmas music .Our driver Jamie was brilliant with my son & very sympathetic to his needs. We stopped off for lots photo opportunities , Bond street was amazing !!! Great fun thoroughly recommend !!!
